Welcome Deeper Learners!

We are excited to welcome you to Westwood, MA at the end of September. The Deeper Learning Boston conference has a rich history. Although this is our inaugural year of the conference, the Deeper Learning movement began in the Northeast region and spread domestically and globally from there. Please enjoy this short background on the conference itself, where we honor "On Whose Shoulders We Stand: A Brief History"

This digital program is for all things DL Boston! Be sure to select one Deep Dive for Day 1 and two Den Talks for Day 2. You will only be able to sign up for one Deep Dive! These sessions have capacity limits and will fill up. To see an overview of the event and session types, check out the event flow.

We can’t wait to see you!

Meet The H.O.M.ies! Explore the Inherent Connections Across the Subjects

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

What are the inherent connections and shared habits of mind embodied by successful writers, artists, scientists, mathematicians and others? How can we and our students embody them ourselves?  What if learning for all age groups (yes, even adults) could be playful and exploratory, authentic, and rigorous? We will meet the H.O.M.ies, a set of 8 characters that each personify those shared H.abits of M.ind. Using case studies, games, "micro-challenges," songs and stories, we will begin to answer these questions for ourselves. Through the HOMies, we will spotlight the inspiration and connection below the surface of the seemingly separate subjects. This session is open and beneficial to all educators and school leaders.
