Deeper Learning Boston

In this Deep Dive, you will spend a day in the woods participating in hands-on activities about the intersections between outdoor experiential learning and Gholdy Muhammad’s framework for culturally and historically responsive pedagogy.  Participants will reflect and discuss ways that they can transform their own teaching and learning practices to increase engagement, identity and leadership development, and authentic assessment in their schools. Students and staff from Intrepid Academy at Hale will facilitate a day of team building, outdoor skill building, collaborative discovery, and creativity. Ample time will be provided to synthesize your learning, and to make a plan to bring this framework back to your schools. This session is for all of us: classroom educators, college students, support staff, school leaders, & administrators.
