Cicy Po has been an educator and school leader for over two decades. As a science teacher and school leader in Boston and Portland high schools, she served racially, ethnically and socioeconomically diverse students. Her own childhood vulnerabilities as a first generation immigrant fueled the strength needed to walk with her students. She knows well the pioneering spirit needed to settle new communities through her work as a founding science teacher of the first performing and visual arts public high school in Boston, and as an urban Maine educator and school leader. She currently serves as Head of School at Baxter Academy for Technology and Science, a public charter high school where student led inquiry uses STEM tools to face humanity's challenges.
